At no point did my upbringing suggest that I would end up in the business of booze. As a child I can hardly remember the sight of my parents with an alcoholic beverage in hand and even to this day I feel like they only drink wine to appease me and my poignant passion for the stuff. It was only my college years that suggested a shift in my aspirations to become a medical professional. As I continued down the path of formal education, I found myself manning the bar at a winery in the Temecula Valley wine country. This is where I cut my teeth. I became great friends with the winemaker who has been in the wine industry for over thirty-five years and spent those years working for some of the finest wineries in France, Australia, Oregon and California. He was my coach and my very first mentor. He was also the spark that lit the fire and the inspiration to forget about what I had been studying to pursue my new found passion in wine.

In 2013 I took and passed the introductory course and exam with the Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS) and shortly thereafter began to search for jobs in northern California. I landed at a great winery in Sonoma and quickly found out what this world renowned mecca of food and wine—that is northern California—was all about. After passing the 2nd level exam with the CMS and a couple of years as the estate ambassador for the winery, I was itching to see what else was out there. My curiosity led me to a position as the sommelier and wine buyer for a local restaurant and retail wine shop in downtown Napa. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything but through the experience I came to realize that the restaurant life was not for me. I left the restaurant and took a sales position with Chatterbox Wine Marketing, a sister company to Bounty Hunter. After attending a joint holiday gathering and learning more about Bounty Hunter it was very clear that this would be a better fit for me and my career. In March of 2017 I joined the team as a Wine Scout and I can honestly say it's been one of the best decisions I have ever made.

As your Wine Scout and personal sommelier it's my responsibility to put your taste first. I'll do everything in my power to source and secure the very best for your palate (and your pocketbook). And, if you like 2-buck-chuck, no judgement will be passed…YOU JUST CAN'T GET NONE HERE!
