The DogFather pays tribute to the fabled distillery dog from Lone Whisker. With round tones of caramel, spice and a rich full-bodied mouthfeel this is a bourbon for the ages. The label is a classic depiction of a speakeasy bar scene, reminiscent of the Prohibition era when there was a certain swagger to the men and women who knew the password to those illicit rooms.

Lone Whisker is the bourbon project of the founders of Coup de Foudre (John Schwartz and winemaker Kent Jarman.) The two became close friends over a couple decades as esteemed Napa Valley wine producers and they've long shared a love for gourmet food and great Bourbon. Their label, Lone Whisker, was founded long before Bourbon became a trend. The two took a trip to Kentucky's Bourbon Trail and signed a deal with a distillery. The first batches were contract distilled back in 2005, and first released to the public in 2017. The name Lone Whisker came during that weekend trip Kent and John took to Kentucky’s Bourbon Trail more than 15 years ago. While there, they fell in love with the place, its people, and it's #1 export, and decided they wanted to create their own Bourbon brand. During their escapades in Kentucky, they came upon a pick-up truck that had flipped over on the side of the road. In the bushes nearby was an abandoned old dog with a collar tag that read “Whisker.” They ended up adopting the dog—and a name for their Bourbon label.
