The 2021 To Kalon FnA is aromatically a mix of blackberries, tar, and forest floor. On the palate this wine is very supple, with purity of fruit, spice, and less obvious structure than the other To Kalon‘s of this vintage. This wine shows tremendous breadth on the palate, length on the finish, and of the three To Kalon‘s from this Vintage, this bottling will be the most approachable at a younger age.

The 2021 Beckstoffer To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon from Tor is flat-out stunning in this vintage. It opens to incredibly captivating aromatics of ripe dark currants and blackberries that are joined by dustings of graphite, crushed gravel, violets, iron and a slight touch of mocha that all take shape as this unwinds in the glass. The palate is just as compelling, full-bodied, concentrated and structured with big tannins that are beautifully polished and well-integrated into its sweet, concentrated core. The mouthfeel is plush and layered with delicious flavors of ripe blackberries, black cherries, spices floral and graphite that continue to build as it seamlessly enters the incredibly long, yet graceful finish. The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is a remarkably pure expression of the To Kalon Vineyard’s pedigree and the immaculate winemaking that has gone into producing this special wine.
