The 2020 La Tâche incarnates everything wonderful about this vintage – it is ripe, exuberant, and approachable, yet packed with potential and the substance for long aging. The wine continues to impress with the similar exotic red fruit and floral notes that it showed out of barrel, and it is already giving great pleasure. Still, there is great concentration and length to this wine; it may, like the 2009 vintage, be ready to drink early and never shut down. Picking began on 30 August and finished on 2 – 3 September after a short break for rain. 14,844 bottles were produced."
