2019 Rombauer Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
From some of the best AVAs in Napa Valley, including St. Helena, Calistoga, Oakville, Stags Leap District, Atlas Peak and Carneros, comes this gorgeous, deep purple Cabernet packed with expressive aromas and flavors. Red cherry, raspberry and black cherry tangle with sage, spice and violets. A touch of toast and supple tannins carry through on the smooth finish.
After making wine for more than 30 years in the Napa Valley, the late Koerner Rombauer quietly established himself as an industry veteran. The small town farm boy from Southern California followed his first passion, flying, into the California Air National Guard. In 1972, after an almost 20-year career as a pilot, Koerner moved his wife, kids, two horses and five dogs to the Napa Valley. The small agricultural community reminded him of the clean, safe town in which he grew up. Koerner started with 40 hilltop acres just outside of St Helena, but today, the Rombauers own prime vineyards in some of the finest pockets of the Napa Valley, including the sites in Stags Leap, Atlas Peak, St. Helena and Calistoga. The wines have a cult following - give them a taste and you'll see why.
Wine Enthusiast
This deep and concentrated wine is as smooth as silk, scented with black currants, spearmint and a touch of toast, then soothes the palate with velvety tannins and lush, ripe fruit flavors. While easy to sip, it has a subtle, restrained tannin structure.
James Suckling
Aromas of blackberries and currants with spicy herbs, pine wood and crushed rocks. Medium- to full-bodied, sleek and polished with soft tannins and silky texture. Juicy, blue-fruited finish. Drink now.
